2005 & 2006
RV experts encourage you to take a shake-down cruise, a maiden voyage to work out the kinks. Our maiden voyage as full-time RV'ers was 22,199 Kilometers! It probably added a few kinks as well as working a few out.
It went from our home base in the northern boreal forest of Saskatchewan, across the prairies in Alberta, over the Rockies to Canada'a West coast. It continued down the coast to California, across the southwest to the lower tip of Texas, down into Mexico almost to Mexico's southern border then back through the middle of America and home. Some shake down! Especially the Mexican roads with their topes, potholes, heaves and predatory policemen.
Bob Hoffman graciously hosted the account of the trip on his web site which has since disappeared. The narratives have now been repatriated to this site. Pictures to follow.
