The background behind "why" we are building (along with the "what" and "how") has been explained here and here so I won't belabour the point on this page.2010 was a quiet year for shop / studio construction. We built other things (see monthly updates) and did more traveling and work than usual). Below are some pictures of what we did accomplish. The front porch and the side deck are the main things. They helped ease the neo-grain elevator look somewhat. A little interior exterior wall framing and ripping out the one dividing wall made up the balance of the shop / studio construction efforts.

Who knows what tomorrow holds, and plans are just that, but some things we would like to do on the shop / studio in 2011 include
- finish the inner framing of the outside walls so electrical and plumbing can be done
- wiring and connection to the grid (?)
- check out the current plumbing codes and decide if it is a good year to hit that moving target.
- wallboard, etc. if we have done the electrical and plumbing
